To Exist with Meaning...
It can often be difficult to write something interesting off the cuff. Especially when things are pretty consistent and stable. Actually this is a chance to express mediocrity, the sterile quiet of not much, which allows time for a lot. We need something spicy, occasionally, to make us gasp for refreshment.
The universe is often indifferent, making it uneasy to know your place. If there is a lack of obvious meaning then one may be searching with the sense of instability and unrest. Though, in retrospect, often these are the most interesting times. It can be scary, especially when you have responsibility toward others, there is risk and danger, but there is also excitement and fun. The fact that there is responsibility suggest that there is meaning, at least toward the idea of existence. We now have others to considered and look after. We want to preserve ourselves and leave something that is useful for others to build on, embrace and potentially take forward. Our story is now, therefore our meaning is now.
Trying to figure out a meaning and a purpose can take time, practice, patience and persistence. We have gained traction to provide something we feel is worth celebrating, living and fighting for. For others to enjoy and celebrate as much as ourselves. Hopefully to encourage and inspire.
Being able to sentimentally leave without doing too much damage and pass on a good set of values, principles and ways to do feels like a worthy achievement. A contribution of the mind that can be picked up and improved on.
There is a pulsating conscious shift towards finding out where our produce comes from, how it is grown and what is in it. The ethical side to our industries are continually being exposed and questioned. It shouldn’t just stop at fruit and veg, dairy, meat or leather. We are figuring out that more can be made locally and distributed within a region to cut down on all kinds of waste. Furniture is no exception to this process. With the power of technology and the sharing of useful information we can positively impact the nature of our manufacturing processes and work in synergy as a local network on a global scale to create better products, hopefully wherever people require or desire them. The cost of local labour is also taken into account in this process. To make here may cost much less there, or vice versa, so the balance of final cost should be relative to the local economy, not excessive or inadequate, just fair.
We hope us justifying our existence to bloom also helps you to find meaning if you are struggling or just need a little pinch.
